YPAS Highlighted at BACP Roundtable During Labour Party Conference

October 15, 2026

YPAS was recognised for our work supporting young people across Merseyside at a roundtable hosted by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) during the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.

The discussion brought together counselling providers, representatives from education, youth and employment support services, mental health organisations, and people with lived experience to explore how organisations can work together to better support young people facing barriers to education and employment.

Key themes included the importance of early intervention, learning from successful approaches, and strengthening collaboration across services to ensure young people receive the support they need.

The recognition of YPAS highlighted the value of accessible mental health support and community-based support in improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

We are pleased to see our work recognised and to contribute to the wider conversation about creating better outcomes for young people.
