YPAS offers a range of wellbeing and therapeutic services for children aged 5-15 years, young people ages 16-25 years and their families in Merseyside. 

Established in 1966 YPAS is a charitable sector organisation that supports children, young people and families with their mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties. We deliver our services in primary schools, secondary schools and 3 community hubs across the city.

Student Placements at YPAS

YPAS works alongside and has strong relationships with universities and higher education institutes (HEI). At YPAS, we offer counselling placements for students undertaking counselling and psychotherapy training. We are committed to supporting our students in reaching their full potential.

YPAS is currently accepting applications and has limited therapy student placement positions.

Current Vacancies:

YPAS is seeking to recruit a – Clinical Administrator 

  • Work as part of YPAS clinical administration team to ensure the smooth running of the clinical administration needs of YPAS’s YIAC (Youth information Advice and Counselling) service.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team supporting leadership, wellbeing and therapeutic practitioners to address the mental health and emotional well-being of children, young people and families.

Intermediate counselling qualification or above is essential, as is administration experience.

Trainee Parenting Practitioners (x4) – We are offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Parenting Practitioner, with paid, hands-on experience supporting parents and carers. This 12-month trainee post will equip you with the skills to deliver evidence-based parenting interventions, including group programmes and one-to-one coaching.
