Community Outreach:

Liverpool Youth Service offers services to young people across the city so, where possible, if a young person is not able to make it into the YPAS office in Liverpool city centre, we will try to see them in their local community.

To help us achieve this, the YPAS counselling service works with various organisations, such as youth centres and community colleges. YPAS has developed links with Oakmere Community College and provides support and counselling to students there.

Many of the children and young people we have worked with could not come to the city centre, so they may not have been able to get the help they need unless we could go to them.

“It’s been helpful and I feel understood.” “Someone to talk to about problems.” “I find it helpful to talk about things that go on at home.” “Hearing another person’s perspective has been helpful. I feel I am better at reviewing my situation and not just looking at the negatives.”
