Anger Awareness:

Breaking my anger down into stages helped me to understand my feelings

The Anger Awareness Team aims to reach out and provide a service that fits with the needs of young people aged 13 to 25.

What is anger?

Anger is a natural powerful feeling felt in the body that tells you when something is wrong and that you need to do something about it. It's an important feeling that we all have; it can help us to do great things. But it can also cause problems.

When is anger a problem?

If your anger is destroying relationships and getting you into trouble with family, friends, teachers or police then your anger is a problem.

Can drugs and alcohol make your anger worse?

Yes they can.

What can I do?

At YPAS we offer workshops to help you find out more about your anger. By working on your anger triggers, patterns and feelings you can find new coping skills.

How do I get involved?

You can get in touch with us yourself or you can ask someone else to do it for you; a parent, teacher, mentor, carer, key worker or friend.

What will happen next?

You will be invited to YPAS for a chat with one of the team, to discuss your needs and find out more about the workshop. If you decide it's not for you at this time, that's fine.

Remember this is a voluntary relationship - we only want you to take part if you want to.
