I have been a trustee & vice chair since 2006
I am a kinship carer responsible for 3 grandchildren under 10. My day job is working for the NHS.
I first became involved in the work of children & young people through the CAMHS Partnership Board as a parent representative. I believe passionately in prevention of mental ill health of Children and young people.
I am also the Chair of a Carers Support Group.
I hope that through my perspective I can continue to develop YPAS, and realise its aim & objectives are for the good of the organisation. It's a pleasure working with my fellow trustees, managers and ultimately the fabulous Young People.
I've been a board member since 2014. My motivation to become a trustee at YPAS was that I wanted to support an organisation working with children and young people in need. When I met with CEO Monique Collier, I knew straight away that YPAS, with its outstanding levels of commitment and passion, was the organisation I’d been looking for.
Running my own events consultancy, I see my role at YPAS as a “fresh” pair of eyes, looking at the organisation from outside the health sector. I’m excited that my expertise comes to good use helping to plan YPAS events such as the organisation’s 50th birthday celebrations.
